No Regrets Pizza Co.

Overview

Walking into No Regrets Pizza Co. feels like dropping into a neighborhood hangout where the ovens are always hot and the vibe is easygoing. Tucked at 5454 Nicholson Ln Suite 180, North Bethesda, MD 20852, United States, this spot has become a regular stop for locals who want real-deal pizza without the attitude. I first came in after a late soccer practice nearby, starving and skeptical, and left convinced this place knows exactly what it’s doing.

The menu doesn’t try to overwhelm you, which I appreciate. Instead, it focuses on pizzas that make sense, with balanced toppings and crust that actually tastes like something. Their dough goes through a long cold fermentation, usually around 48 hours. That process isn’t just chef talk. According to food science research shared by organizations like the American Institute of Baking, extended fermentation improves flavor complexity and digestibility. You can taste that difference here. The crust has structure, chew, and a slight tang that holds up under sauce and cheese without going limp.

One pie that keeps coming up in reviews is the classic pepperoni, and for good reason. The pepperoni cups, the mozzarella browns just right, and the sauce has a brightness that doesn’t overpower the crust. Another standout is the white pizza, where garlic, olive oil, and ricotta come together in a way that feels indulgent but not heavy. A friend of mine who tracks pizza spots professionally for a regional food blog mentioned that the balance here reminds him of old-school East Coast shops that prioritize consistency over gimmicks.

Beyond pizza, the menu includes wings, salads, and a few sides that make it easy to turn a casual dinner into a full spread. The wings are baked rather than fried, which aligns with data from the USDA showing baked methods can significantly reduce saturated fat. You wouldn’t know it from the taste, though. They’re crispy, saucy, and perfect for sharing. The salads are fresh and straightforward, which helps cut through the richness of the pies.

What really stands out is how the staff runs the place. Orders move fast, but nothing feels rushed. I once watched the kitchen during a busy Friday night, and the process was smooth: stretch the dough, sauce lightly, top evenly, bake at high heat, rest briefly, slice, and serve. That kind of repetition builds quality. The National Restaurant Association often points out that operational consistency is one of the biggest predictors of positive customer reviews, and this spot is a good example of that principle in action.

Speaking of reviews, most of what you’ll see online highlights reliability. People talk about coming back again and again and getting the same solid experience each time. That matters, especially in an area with so many dining options. While the space isn’t huge and seating can fill up quickly during peak hours, takeout and delivery are efficient alternatives. That’s a limitation worth noting if you’re planning to dine in with a large group.

Location-wise, being in North Bethesda makes it easy to swing by after work, school events, or errands. Parking is generally manageable, and the surrounding area has enough foot traffic to keep things lively without feeling chaotic. Over time, this place has built a reputation not through flashy marketing, but through word of mouth and repeat visits.

At the end of the day, this is a pizza joint that understands its role. It serves food people actually want to eat, made with care, backed by sound techniques, and delivered with a friendly, no-pressure attitude. The result is a restaurant that earns trust one slice at a time, and keeps people coming back without regrets.

No Regrets Pizza has been on my “must try” list since reading about them in Bethesda Magazine’s Best of 2025. A last minute date night plan with my wife led us to walk-in this past Friday…and not only do they live up to their name but the restaurant manages to elevate pizza to a whole new level! The place was bustling as we arrived so we chose to sit at the bar to avoid the wait…and only because it looked so inviting with a beautiful counter, very comfortable seating, an elegantly lit display and highly attentive service (thank you Carlos). In fact we didn’t miss the table at all and also had a chance to meet the owner’s wife Nancy who, along with her husband Richard, make an effort to personally meet every patron to make sure they’re comfortable. She told us how they locally source ingredients and the story behind the name…which you must hear from them when you visit! I ordered the Pepperoni and my wife the Argentinian Fugazzeta and we shared our Roman Square pizzas along with the crispy roasted brussel sprouts and glasses of wine. It was clearly going to be more food than we could finish but the menu looked so enticing that we couldn’t just pick one . The pizza here is an absolute delight and the 8-square Romans reminded us of our favorite Detroit style pizzas when we lived there but this one has a non-greasy crust encasing a soft airy base which was easier on our stomachs. The toppings were delicious with the pepperoni roasted to perfection curling up in the oven and then topped with hot honey that really brought out a lovely spicy sweet sensation. The Argentinian had asiago and mozzarella cheese with a flavorfully spicy kick to it. Both did really well reheated the next day as we had plenty left over for another meal. This is dining with an experience in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere and I have “no regrets” recommending them!

We visited No Regrets Pizza in North Bethesda and absolutely loved it! The ambiance was very nice and welcoming. We ordered the Napoli Margherita Pizza and the Blistered Cherry Tomato Pizza, with some raw onion added on top — both were delicious! All four of us in our group thoroughly enjoyed every bite. We also had Coke, and loved that they offer complimentary refills. Parking nearby was very convenient — free for 2 hours for pizza place customers. They also have a full bar, though we were just there for the pizzas this time and didn’t try the drinks. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great pizza and a relaxed, friendly dining experience!

No Regrets Pizza: A Slice of Passion and Pure Deliciousness! As a social media manager, I'm always on the lookout for businesses with a story to tell, and my recent visit to No Regrets Pizza absolutely blew me away! Chatting with the owner, it was clear his passion for pizza isn't just a job – it's a genuine love affair. You can feel that dedication in every detail, from the welcoming atmosphere to, most importantly, the incredible food. And speaking of the food... WOW! The pizza at No Regrets is truly top-notch. Every bite was bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked, and left me craving more. Seriously, if you're in the mood for some of the best pizza around, you have to check them out. After experiencing their amazing product and the owner's commitment firsthand, I'm beyond excited about the potential to work with them and help share their story (and their delicious pizza!) with an even wider audience!

We had a really nice time here, and the food was delicious! It was hard to pick one thing. More reason to go back. Fawn was great, she was very personable and came back to the table to check on us a few times. We're definitely going back. I normally get regular crust, I'm not a fan of deep dish, but my friend and I swapped slices (my pistachio for her mushroom) and I'm for sure getting deep dish next time. It wasn't thick and doughy like the deep dish I've had before. They'll serve the bacon on the side if you don't eat meat and want the Brussels sprouts. I took a mashed potato pizza home for my son, and he really enjoyed it.

Wow. Just wow. I pride myself on knowing all the local pizza spots somehow this went under my radar and I was blown away! They have 3 diff styles of pizza - Neapolitan (they call it “round”), Roman (square style, super airy inside, crispy bottom and edges similar to Detroit style), and NY style - we had them all and each really stood out. We had a brisket round which was incredible, the Argentinian fuggazetta Roman style - super cheesy and satisfying but still light - and the classic NY style (18 inch pizza, just super tasty, thin, and crisp). Also had spicy vodka pasta (amazing) and a aglio olio pasta with crab (also excellent). Cannot recommend this place enough!

Carlos was our bartender and he was exceptional. In fact, we got five star service from our first “hello” when we walked in the door, a female bartender adjusted the game on the big screen TV and ultimately the owner Rick who made me his signature Old Fashioned. The pizza… OMG! What an exceptional experience! I went to New York one years ago See you next weekend, can’t wait.!!

Great vibes and even better food. We got the beef and burrata salad and the special pizza which was Brussels sprout and bacon with hot honey and caramelized onions. 10/10! We’re not from the area, but we’re recommended to stop here and I hope we’ll be back soon. Our server was Amiral Mimi and she was attentive and gave a great overview of the menu!
